Pioneer Bible Translators is located off of West Camp Wisdom Road and Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas. We did this project with mostly volunteer labor. A retaining wall was needed to keep the dirt away from the foundation of the building per city code. We then backfilled the new bed area with compost and added drought tolerant plants. They were put to the test the summer of 2011, and as you can see they thrived.
This property belongs to one of our lawn mowing customers, we did this in October 2011. He had the flower beds already in place but no plants. I designed the landscape and choose plants that would best meet his likes and wants. We changed some of the desing on site. Shadeing the patio area was very important to him so we moved one of the trees out into the middle of the yard to help block the sun. I also pulled the larger plants back away from the patio so they wouldn't grow into the sitting area.

This customer wanted a perrenial flower bed with all different plants and blooms throughout every season. We have been adding and changing things out for several years and she enjoys seeing new flowers and colors all year long. This flower bed does require quite a bit of maintenance, which we do throughout the season. The photos show a new bed installed in April and the growth in June.
